Sri Lankan Bean Curry (Bonchi)

Serve with (Rice+ papadums +  one or two other curries)

INGREDIENTS:

250 g beans
1 onions
1 fresh chilli
50 ml oil
sprig curry leaves
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
75 ml thick coconut milk

METHOD:

  1.  Wash and trim the beans as desired. Chop the onion and chilli.
  2. Heat the oil and fry the onions and curry leaves until fragrant. Add the beans, chilli, chilli powder, cumin and turmeric and cook for 3 minutes. Add the coconut milk and cook until the beans are soft.
